    Close protection

Close protection is a planned, evidence-led service that protects a designated principal across movement, residence, and event presence. It begins with a written threat assessment and is delivered by EU-licensed officers under documented operational protocols.

Do I need close protection if I have not been threatened?

Most engagements begin not with an explicit threat but with elevated exposure — a major transaction, public profile, or family situation that warrants assessment. A licensed provider will tell you honestly whether protection is appropriate.

How quickly can a team be deployed?

A reactive deployment with an existing assessment can begin within hours. A planned engagement typically allows 5-10 business days for full reconnaissance, planning, and team selection.

    Are officers armed?

Most close-protection deployments in EU member states are unarmed. Armed coverage is permitted only under specific national licensing regimes and is handled engagement-by-engagement.

    How are officers vetted?

All officers hold the relevant national security licence (Wpbr in the Netherlands; equivalent regimes elsewhere). Background screening, training records, and operational references are documented and available on request under contract.

Will my family also be covered?

Family cover is a routine extension of close-protection engagements. The threat assessment covers the principal and dependants jointly; team size and posture are scoped accordingly.

What does a typical engagement look like?

Threat-and-risk assessment first; advance reconnaissance of routes, residence, and venues; documented operational plan; deployment with a named lead officer; and after-action reporting on every operating day.

    Is the engagement confidential?

Yes. We do not disclose client engagements without explicit written authorisation. Operational documentation is shared on a need-to-know basis within the engagement team.

    How is cost calculated?

On engagement scope — team size, hours, movement, vehicles, and reporting. We quote against documented scope rather than a published day rate.

    Can you support international travel?

Yes. Travel-risk management, in-country support, and crisis-and-incident response standby are routine extensions of the close-protection service.

    How do we begin?

An initial conversation is confidential and without obligation. From there, we propose an assessment scope; on agreement, the assessment runs and a documented engagement plan follows.
