    Manned guarding (object security)

Manned guarding (object security) is the deployment of licensed, trained officers to actively protect a defined site, building, or asset. Officers hold static posts, run patrol rounds, manage visitor access, and log every incident. Pricing is on request — quoted per engagement based on site profile, shift pattern, and officer grade.

    What is manned guarding?

Manned guarding — also called object security — is the deployment of licensed, trained security officers to actively protect a defined site, building, or asset. Officers may hold static posts (reception, gatehouse, control room), run patrol rounds, manage visitor access, and handle incident response. It is the most physical layer of a security posture.

What does a manned guard do?

A manned guard enforces access-control rules, monitors the site continuously, conducts documented patrol rounds, triages alarms and CCTV alerts, handles visitor interactions, and logs every notable event. They escalate to a supervisor, control room, or emergency services as the standing instructions require.

How many guards do I need?

The number of officers depends on the size of the site, the number of access points, the hours requiring coverage, visitor volume, and the incident-frequency profile. A small office with one entrance and low traffic may need a single static officer during business hours; a large industrial site may need teams covering multiple posts 24/7. We determine the correct number during the site survey.

What is the difference between manned guarding and mobile patrols?

Manned guarding deploys an officer continuously on-site — permanent presence, immediate response, on-the-spot decision-making. Mobile patrols visit sites at intervals, providing deterrence and alarm-response without continuous presence. Manned guarding suits high-traffic sites with visitor management needs; mobile patrols suit distributed or low-density sites where periodic response suffices.

How much does manned guarding cost?

Pricing is on request — quoted per engagement based on shift pattern, number of posts, officer profile (standard vs hospitality-graded vs K9-handler), and site complexity. Mission Support is a premium specialist provider and does not publish day rates. Initial consultation and site survey are without obligation.

How do I outsource manned guarding?

Start with a site survey — a specialist assesses your site, foot traffic, access points, risk profile, and any existing security measures. From there we produce a deployment proposal with post locations, shift patterns, standing instructions, and escalation protocols. You review and approve before any officer is deployed.

    Is manned guarding available 24/7?

Yes. Mission Support deploys officers around the clock including weekends and holidays. Common configurations are 24/7 static, business-hours static plus out-of-hours patrol, and event-driven surge deployment. Shift patterns are designed during the survey phase against your specific risk and traffic profile.

What certifications do your guards carry?

All Mission Support officers are EU-licensed (Dutch BOA/WPBR equivalents and recognised EU-member-state credentials), vetted to the level appropriate for the assignment, and trained to standards that meet corporate, residential, and critical-infrastructure environments. Documentation is available on request for procurement and compliance audits.
