    TSCM (bug-sweep)

TSCM (technical surveillance counter-measures) sweeps detect eavesdropping, video, and tracking devices using RF spectrum analysis, non-linear junction detection, thermal imaging, and physical search. A credible engagement produces a written report with chain-of-custody for any device recovered.

What gets swept in a typical TSCM engagement?

Boardrooms, executive offices, residential properties, and vehicles are the most common targets. Some clients also commission sweeps of specific event venues prior to high-profile meetings.

How long does a sweep take?

A standard boardroom sweep takes four to six hours for a single team. A full residential sweep typically takes a working day. Larger or sensitive sites may run multi-day.

    How often should we sweep?

Three patterns dominate: pre-event (before sensitive meetings), post-incident (after a suspected leak), and periodic (quarterly or annually for sensitive sites with regular new contractor or visitor traffic).

    What equipment do you use?

RF spectrum analysers, non-linear junction detectors, thermal imagers, and physical-search tooling. Equipment list and operational age are provided on request.

What does the written report contain?

Cleared zones, methodology used, signals observed and dismissed, any items requiring follow-up, and (where applicable) a remediation plan and chain-of-custody record for recovered devices.

What happens if you find something?

We secure the device, photograph the location, package it under chain-of-custody, and engage law-enforcement liaison where the client elects. The decision on whether to remove or leave the device for evidence purposes is taken with the client.

    Will the sweep disrupt business?

Sweeps are scheduled out-of-hours where possible and conducted with minimal staff impact. Where in-hours work is needed, we brief on access requirements and visible activity in advance.

    Do you sweep vehicles?

Yes — vehicle sweeps are a routine part of the practice, particularly for principals using a regular driver or where vehicles travel to multiple jurisdictions.

    Is the engagement confidential?

Yes. Standard practice is that we do not disclose client engagements without explicit written authorisation. Reports are delivered to a named client contact only.

    How do we book?

Through the contact form on the TSCM service page, or by direct enquiry. We confirm scope, schedule, and operator team before contracting.
